Low Wee Wern was born on 25 July 1990 in Georgetown, Penang. Currently ranked World No. 6, Wee Wern stands a high chance in bringing back Malaysia’s first gold medal at the 2020 Olympic Games.

Based at the Penang International Squash Centre in Bukit Dumbar under the tutelage of Aaron Soyza, Wee Wern began playing squash at the age of nine and and is Malaysia’s No. 2, only behind Queen Nicol David.

Between 2001 to 2006, Wee Wern bagged 19 Junior titles including U19 Asian Junior and Pioneer Cup titles in 2006 and 6 WSA titles. She was also a key contributor to two Bronze Medals won by Malaysia in 2010 (Palmerston North) and 2012 (Nimes) at the WSF Women’s World Teams Event.

Come 2020, Wee Wern would be at the peak of her career and is anxiously awaiting the opportunity to represent her country on the world’s largest sporting stage.
